Most of our clients begin by reviewing their benefit goals, strategy and purpose. Click on the Group Insurance Evaluator button at the top and give some thought as to how you might score yourself on these 10 points.  This is a great exercise and will take you less than 5 minutes to complete.

Our research has shown that while business customers feel more comfortable using a broker when shopping for employee benefits, they want online access to information and they want more choices to help them define their benefit needs.  These are some of the areas our customers tell us they want to know more about:

Not all businesses insure for Short Term Disability, however, if you are a company that does, then take note that the federal government increased the Employment Insurance (EI) maximum from $457 to $468 per week effective  January 1, 2011.

1. A copy of your plan booklet,
2. A copy of your claims and rate history for the past 3 years (if applicable),
3. What you are looking for by way of a plan design, and
4. Your employee census data.

Once you have all of this information collected, we will then meet to obtain the copy of your booklet and claims/rate history. We will ask a number of Canada’s leading insurance companies to quote on your business.  It generally takes between 2 to 3 weeks to get all the proposals in and analyzed.  At that point we will complete an Industry Comparison Report for you and arrange a meeting with one of our Group Insurance consultants to review your options. 

Group insurance decisions are generally made on price, coverage, service and employee communication and not always in that order.  Although we have never failed to deliver on price, we attach a high priority to educating the employees on the true value of employee benefits and how these meet their individual needs.
